The repeater controller

The challenge to build an repeater controller instead of buying one on the internet. Searching over the internet we found an internet web page of Roger Cameron "N0YOX". He designed and repeater controller around an Basic Stamp 2 micro controller. We found the Basic Stamp micro controller an interesting solution and easy to develop and program routine for our challenge.
Besides the normal repeater functions we want to add some more features to this repeater such as EchoLink, emergency backup power, telemetry and so on. This requires an more advance micro controller then the Basic Stamp 2 used in Roger Cameron "N0YOX" design. Our choice is the Basic Stamp 2p from the manufactory Parallax Inc.

Still we have to begin to make the basic repeater functions to work and this is for now our main goal.

The BS2p24 has a program execution speed of ~12,000 instructions/second. New I/O instructions handle parallel LCD's, Philips I2C (master), and Dallas/Maxim 1-Wire (master) communications.
