This web site is dedicated to an experiment with an radioamateur UHF repeater.
In the beginning of 2004 we, Guido -pe1rox- and Michel -pe1pts-,
came to an idea to build another repeater for the UHF radioamateur band. As all fellow radioamateurs do, we like to experiment and decided to focus an building our own cavities to create an duplexer and an controller for our future repeater.
An third radio amateur, John -ph3unx-, helped us with the repeater license, the
public relations and gathering all kind of hard materials.
We have chosen PI2GRP as callsign for the UHF repeater. PI2 stands for an UHF repeater in the Netherlands and GRP stands for Goese RePeater.
The repeater
is located in the south west area of the Netherlands, in grid square JO11WM.
On this moment an temporary repeater is active until we finished our project.
Also EchoLink will be active now an then depends on the state of the equipment. One of our goals is to integrate EchoLink in our repeater.
As we progress with our project this website will be updated with all kind of information. To keep track of any updates click on news and find out :)
