Since 9 September 2004 we started an EchoLink experiment. The EchoLink node number is 7539
I made an experimental setup with an Kenwood TH-78e handheld trx. I have some troubles with my handheld trx, sometimes it is reacting strange and on 500mW it still heats up at unacceptible tempertures. Because of the strange things going on with my handheld trx, I will not turn on my EchoLink experiment the whole day. Mostley at evenings this experiment will be active. You can check if this EchoLink station is actived by sending a short '*' DTMF pulse.
A short description of the DTMF codes used by EchoLink. For full description look had the EchoLink site http://www.echolink.org. If you want to know if the EchoLink is active on the repeater, send 08 DTMF code to the repeater. EchoLink announce his status at that moment.
DO NOT hold a DTMF button to long for each character, make short beeps. For example make a short '*' DTMF beep otherwise it will recognize couple of '*' and the result is EchoLink wouldn't response to your request.
| Command | Description | DTMF code |
| Connect | Connects to a station on the Internet, based on its node number | number |
| Disconnect | Disconnects the station that is currently connected. If more than one station is connected, recently-connected station. | # |

Note: that not all DTMF codes are displayed here above. Look on http://www.echolink.org for full description.
